Adaptation
Starting nursery or kindergarten is an important life transition for both children and their families. We believe that the adaptation process should be approached with sensitivity, respect for each child's individual needs, and close cooperation with parents.
Every child is unique, and we therefore respect each child's own pace of adaptation. Some children need only a few days, while others may require several weeks. Our goal is not to rush the child, but to help them build a sense of security and develop positive relationships with their new environment, teachers, and friends.
During the adaptation process, we:
- gradually extend the child's attendance according to their individual needs,
- respect each child's unique pace of adjustment,
- focus on building a secure relationship between the child and their teachers,
- maintain regular communication with parents and keep them informed about their child's progress,
- provide a consistent daily routine, familiar rituals, and predictability,
- create a supportive and respectful environment where children feel safe, accepted, and valued.
We believe that successful adaptation is not about a child never crying. It is about gradually developing a sense of security, trust, and enjoyment of new experiences.
Together with families, we strive to ensure that every child feels welcomed, respected, and excited to come to Bystra škôlka.
