  Opting to work with children was a conscious decision born out of my genuine delight in accompanying them
  as they embark on their daily quest for knowledge. I relish involving them as much as possible in a range of
  activities. I take great joy in observing their innate and spontaneous approach to learning, embracing their
  questions, and nurturing their interests. The sheer pleasure of rediscovering the world through their eyes and
  embracing the 'here and now' is a constant source of fulfillment for me. Additionally, I am grateful for the
  ongoing opportunity to acquire fresh insights within this field, an area of enduring interest that was further
  ignited by my own children.

  I always wanted to be a teacher, as children were always close to my heart. What I like most about being a
  teacher is how kind and sincere children are. I love their pure joy, the way they can’t pretend, as well as their
  natural curiosity that helps them grow and develop. I am very happy that I am able to participate in the
  development of different personalities, each one of them having their own charm.

  The preschool years represent a pivotal stage brimming with possibilities. Consequently, it is crucial to
  establish a secure, respectful, and enriching environment for children, allowing them to blossom, uncover
  their individuality, and, most importantly, discover happiness. Offering them opportunities to explore,
  reflect, and consequently taste the sweetness of personal accomplishments is paramount. Being a teacher
  entails not only imparting knowledge to children but, above all, furnishing them with support, assistance,
  and love throughout their journey. Becoming an integral part of their lives, aiding in the formation of their
  character, and sharing in the delight of witnessing their independence are the driving forces that make this
  profession deeply rewarding, motivating my decision to become an educator.

  I was born in the Philippines. Ever since I was a young girl, I knew I wanted to be a teacher.
  My own personal schooling experience plays a big role in my desire to teach because I had amazing teachers
  who supported me, advocated for me, and saw potential in my abilities.
  Ever since that moment, I've been committed to my career in education, with the desire to leave a
  lasting impression on my students and kindle the same enthusiasm in them that I once experienced
  during my own schooling.

  I believe every child is unique, and that the early years are a particularly important time in shaping the person they will become and, ultimately, the world they contribute to. Growing up, I often wondered how people came to make choices that affect others and the world around them. Then I realized: every adult was once a child. This perspective has shaped the way I see teaching—not simply as teaching English, but as having the opportunity and responsibility to contribute positively to a child’s development during one of the most formative stages of their life. My experience in education began during my college years through summer programs for high school students preparing for college and younger children attending day camps. I continued through tutoring and private instruction and began formally teaching English in Slovakia in 2020. Since then, I have taught learners of different ages and proficiency levels, with a particular focus on preschool and kindergarten children. I combine phonics-based instruction and CLIL methodology with creativity, movement, conversation, and hands-on learning, adapting my approach to each child. My goal is to help children develop not only strong English skills, but also the confidence, curiosity, independence, and love of learning that can stay with them as they grow.
